Jack Cimino, 78, of Hazlet, NJ passed away on February 2, 2024. He was born to his parents Dorothy and Jake Cimino on August 22, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY. Jack was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy, his father, Jake, his mother-in-law Laura, his brother-in-laws Barry and Irwin, and his brother James.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jacqueline, his beloved sons, Marc and wife Wendy, Michael and wife Courtney, his cherished granddaughters, Sydney, Julia and Meghan, his sister, Dorian, his brother, Thomas and wife Barbara, his sister-in-law Myrna and his beloved nieces and nephews.
Jack and Jacqueline met in high school, fell in love, shared their love for music and travel, and had a wonderful marriage. They began their lifelong journey together raising two remarkable sons, who were the pride of his life. Jack never missed his sons’ soccer and basketball games and traveled all over the state of New Jersey to cheer them on. Although Jack’s roots were in New Jersey, New York City was near and dear to his heart. He made sure to keep up with all things New York sports, politics and current events.
Resilient and eternally optimistic, Jack always found the silver lining and had a smile on his face. His warmth, kindness and zest for life were contagious to anyone lucky enough to have crossed paths with him. Jack worked incredibly hard and anyone that knew him marveled at his work ethic. He relished being able to travel all around the world for his job at Oppenheimer, where he spent 38 years of his long career. More than anything, Jack loved spending time with his wife and family down the Jersey shore and taking long walks along the boardwalk… with his NY Daily News and transistor radio.
To call Jack a good man would be an understatement. He was a great man. The only way to describe him is simply wonderful. He will be terribly missed.
