Usher will be the headliner for the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show in Las Vegas, the NFL announced Sunday.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in a statement. “Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

The “My Boo” artist, 44, is currently in the middle of a residency at the Park MGM hotel in Vegas, which began in late 2022 and will continue through December. His Super Bowl halftime show performance will occur just one mile south at Allegiant Stadium.

In recent years, the NFL has partnered with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation to book artists for the halftime show. Longtime Hov pal Rihanna was the headliner at last year’s Super Bowl.

The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced Sunday that Usher will headline the 2024 Super Bowl on Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium. The music megastar, who has won eight Grammys, said he’s looking forward to performing on the NFL’s biggest stage.

“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”

Usher rose to fame in 1997 with “My Way” and then catapulted to superstardom on the back of 2004’s “Confessions,” one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century. He has since headlined multiple world tours and staged two different Vegas residences. He opened an eight-show run in Paris on Sunday night.

“Usher is an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape throughout his career, we couldn’t be more excited to have him headline this year’s Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show,” NFL head of music Seth Dudowsky said.
